I think that one of the foremost elements of a successful wedding day can be the venue. So when my colleague Ian Baker asked me to work alongside him at Pembroke Lodge – a stunning Georgian mansion with to die for views in Richmond Park – to help photograph Stephen and Rachel’s wedding, I jumped at the chance.
On the day we were blessed with fabulous sunshine and the view from the terrace overlooking the Thames was fantastic – like a Constable painting! Stephen was really relaxed, Rachel looked beautiful and the guests didn’t stop smiling. After the ceremony Stephen and Rachel welcomed all their guests on the terrace. Family and friends old and new basked in the warm rays and swapped stories of childhood misdemeanours and triumphs. Then it was time to go in and enjoy the fantastic food that had been prepared for them and to sit back and cheer the speeches; all the elements in place….tick.
